English I - Honors with Mr. P

where to come for the important stuff and things...

Good evening students,

Hopefully you are finding that your TAKS short answer practice is being met with great ease. Remember the ABC's that we talked about in class today?

A - Answer the Question (what is it asking you?)
B - Back it Up (Use text evidence for support - don't forget to blend it in with your sentence)
C - Commentary (Slide 5explain in your own words how your quote supports your answer)

Hopefully this helps! You need to have this ready to go for tomorrow! See you then.

Mr. P

Master P,
Caitlynne & I were wondering what the limit is for how many pages our short story can be? Ours is 3 pages so far and we're only halfway through typing it.

Madison,

Great question! If you look at the assignment sheet that I handed out on the day that we started short stories, it says that the required length is 3-4 double-spaced pages. It might be wise to do some cutting down! Let me know if you have any more questions!

Alright, thank you. We'll be able to cut it. But our story outline is going to change alot so the sheet that we did when we had a sub is not going to be very accurate or close to our story. Should we leave it or redo the whole sheet?

Madison,

Just leave it. That is fine with me.
